Launching the new Maple Glass 3D Printer

Hosted by ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences

Introducing the University’s new Maple Glass 3D Printer, a revolutionary device that is changing the game for 3D printing!

Join Dr Jeffrey Sarmiento, Senior Lecturer at the School of Art and Design, to launch the Maple Glass 3D Printer and experience the beauty and precision of 3D printing glass using this state-of-the-art technology.

The latest addition to the University’s world-class glass workshop, the Australian-made Maple Glass 3D Printer can use recycled waste glass to print a 3D glass object from a digitally generated file. The Maple Glass 3D Printer will be used in a collaborative research, teaching and outreach effort with Engineering and the ANU Makerspace using the technology to develop creative solutions to practical problems in glass.

Please note, places are limited and participants are required to wear closed shoes.
