You’re invited to our annual Wear It Purple Day movie screening, celebrating this year’s theme Bold Voices, Bright Futures. Presented in partnership with the ANU LGBTQIA+ Alumni Network and the ANU Film Group.
Join us for a night of love, laughter, and celebration at this year’s Wear It Purple Day movie screening! We're thrilled to present the charming and hilarious romantic comedy A Nice Indian Boy — a story where tradition meets modern love in the most unexpected ways.
About the film: Meet Naveen, a sweet, dutiful Indian son who surprises his traditional family by introducing them to his fiancé — a white, orphaned artist. What follows is a delightful whirlwind of culture clashes, heartfelt moments, and wedding chaos that will leave you laughing, crying, and cheering for love in all its forms.
Whether you're part of the LGBTQIA+ community, an ally, or simply a fan of great cinema, this is a night you won’t want to miss. Come celebrate diversity, connection, and the power of being your authentic self.
Free entry – all welcome! Bring your friends, grab some popcorn, and wear purple with pride!
